Benefits and uses of ID Scanner on Campus.

Have you seen an ID Scanner at a college campus? An ID Scanner is used to check if a student is currently enrolled at the college. Some former students keep their student IDs and hope to use the school’s gym, attend sporting events, and use facilities for free or at a discount. An ID Scanner lets administrators charge non-students for access to the facilities if they are not actually a student.

If used by the campus police, an ID Scanner lets them check non-students by scanning drivers licenses. This builds a record of attendance which lets them investigate after an incident on campus. It also provides a black list of barred individuals. People who are banned from the campus can be loaded into an ID Scanner’s memory and when scanned, escorted off campus.

ID Scanners, while appearing to be big brotherish do have their benefits.
